Luminous efficacy is a measure of how efficiently a light source produces visible light
Although efficiency values are typically dimensionless and therefore have no unit, specific luminous flux is expressed in the SI unit of lumens per watt (lm/W).
Explanation
If Φ is the luminous flux and P is the power, then the luminous efficacy is η = Φ/P.
